Vantage point tells us the story of an interesting and intriguing investigation of an assasination of the president.President Ashton (William Hurt) is in spain attending a summit on war on terror. Two secret service agents by name Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are assigned to protect him. This is the second assignment inspector Barnes is engaged in protecting the president and there are doubts abouthis capabilities. As soon as President Ashton is escorted to the stage in the plaza by the Secret Service, he is shot twice by a rifle from a window and he falls to the floor. The movie then gets on with a video taken by one Mr.Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker) who videograpkhed the event to show to his children that he was actually there at the historic event. He claims that he has the picture of the man who really shot the President. Agent Barnes also has a clue to that person. o we see the truth behind the assassination attempt through the eyes of severalwitnesses who see the video.
